BasenCloud is the app for owners of BasenGreen batteries. Follow your battery from your phone: its live values, the state of every cell, alarms with notifications, its history and its BMS log.

What BasenCloud is

A BasenGreen battery has a touch display that connects to Wi-Fi and reports the battery's data to BasenCloud, BasenGreen's battery cloud. The BasenCloud app shows you the batteries you have linked to your account.

BasenCloud is for monitoring. The battery protects itself through its own battery management system (BMS); the app never switches, charges, discharges or configures the battery.

What you can do with it

  • Live status: state of charge, voltage, current and power, whether the battery is charging, discharging or on standby, and whether a protection is active.
  • Cells and temperatures: every cell voltage with the lowest, highest and difference, cell balancing, parallel packs side by side, and every temperature sensor.
  • Alarms with notifications: protection events and warnings from the BMS, with notifications for protection events always, and you choose which of the others you get: warnings, a battery that goes offline and firmware updates.
  • History: the battery's state of charge over time, cycles, energy throughput, deepest discharge and the largest cell difference, at any time.
  • BMS log: how many times each protection of the battery's management system has been triggered. Tap Read to read the counts from the battery.
  • Several batteries: link up to 20 batteries to one account, give them names and switch between them.
  • Details: the battery's read-only protection parameters and its installed firmware versions. BasenGreen installs firmware updates for you.
  • Guest mode: look around the app with a sample battery and simulated data, without an account.

Getting started

  • Install BasenCloud from the App Store (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (Android phones).
  • Sign in with Google, with Apple on iPhone and iPad, or with your e-mail address and a password. BasenCloud never sees your Google or Apple password.
  • Make sure the battery's display is connected to Wi-Fi and online.
  • On the display, open Settings › Network › Link to Mobile.
  • In the app, tap Add battery and scan the QR code on the display, or type the code shown under it.

Your privacy

When you sign in with Google or Apple, BasenCloud receives your name, your e-mail address and the ID of your Google or Apple account. When you create an account with your e-mail address instead, you enter your name and address in the app, we confirm the address with a code sent from no-reply@basencloud.com, and your password is stored only as a one-way hash. BasenCloud uses this data only to create your BasenCloud account, sign you in, show your first name and a shortened e-mail address on the display of a battery you link, and contact you about your account. BasenCloud has no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools, and does not sell your data. You can delete your account in the app at any time. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
